A 3-day tour of Jordan: Jerusalem, Amman, Petra, Jerash
Drive to Mabada to see the ancient mosaic map of the holy land and ruins of historical sites. Visit the most interesting carved monuments, such as the Treasury, El Khazneh (a tomb of a Nabatean King), then the field of tombs, obelisks, and the altar (Al Madhbah) from where you can view the whole of the rock city.
Today we drive from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv to Allenby or Sheikh Hussein Bridge. After border crossing procedures, enter Jordan. Drive to Madaba to see the ancient mosaic map of the holy land and ruins of historical sites. Continue on to Mount Nebo, from where Moses viewed the promised land. From this point you can see the Jordan Valley, Jericho, the Dead Sea, and, ofcourse, Jerusalem. Then drive to Amman, the capital of Jordan-a short orientation tour viewing the various landmarks of the city, then drive to the hotel for overnight. (B)
Jerusalem      Amman, Jordan     After early breakfast, we leave the hotel and travel south on the road to Wadi Musa. Then on horseback to the “Siq†(canyon) and then on foot to Petra, known as the Red Rock City, the ancient capital of the Nabateans from the 3rd century B.C. to the snd century A.D. Visit the most interesting carved monuments, such as the Treasury, El Khazneh (a tomb of a Nabatean King), then the field of tombs, obelisks, and the altar (Al Madhbah) from where you can view the whole of the rock city. Then back to the village of Wadi Musa and drive back to Amman for overnight. (B)
