Itinerary
Day 1, Depart
Canada/USA
Departure from Toronto, Montreal or New York on our overnight
flight to Cairo. (in-flight meals )
Day 2, Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport we will be met
and assisted through immigration and customs then transferred
to our hotel.
Day 3, Cairo
Today we visit the great Pyramids of Giza and their guardian
Sphinx, Memphis-first capital of the ancient kingdom
to see the statue of Ramses II then to Sakkara to see the
Step pyramid. Overnight at our hotel (BL)
Day 4, Cairo
This morning we visit the Egyptian Museum which houses the
treasures of King Tut then to the Citadel of Salah Eldien
and Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Overnight at our hotel. (BL)
Day 5, Luxor
(Cruise)
This morning we are transferred to Cairo Airport for our flight
to Luxor. Then we will be escorted to embark on the Nile cruise
ship - our floating hotel - for the next five days. This afternoon
we visit the Temple of Luxor and the Temple of Karnak, which
has no equal among the anational shrines of Egypt. Overnight
in Luxor. (BLD)
Day 6, Esna/Edfo
(Cruise)
Today we explore the wondrous Valleysof the Kings & Queens,
the Necropolis of Thebes, Queen Hatshepsut's Temple at Deir
El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon facing the Nile. This
afternoon we sail down the Nile to Edfo where we spend the
night. (BLD)
Day 7, Edfo/Komombo
(Cruise)
This morning we explore the Temple of Horus, the Falcon God,
then continue sailing to Komombo to visit the temple shared
by the two Gods Sobek & Haroeris. Komombo's Ptolemaic
Temple offers beautiful murals and an unforgettable view of
the river Nile.Tonight we enjoy a special costume party featuring
the Native Egyptian and the Pharaonic styles. Overnight in
Komombo. (BLD)
Day 8, Aswan
(Cruise)
Today we will cruise to Aswan to visit the impressive Aswan
High Dam with its huge lake and the magnificent Temple of
Philae. In the afternoon we view the Agha Khan Mausoleum and
Elephantine Islands by Felucca, a traditional Nile sailing
boat. Overnight in Aswan. (BLD)
Day 9, Cairo
Today we will be transferred to Aswan Airport for optional
trip by air to Abu Simbel and/or our flight back to Cairo
where we are transferred to our hotel. (B)
Day 10, Depart Cairo
Today we will be transferred to Cairo International Airport
for our flight back home. (B & in-flight meals) |
